On the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri, we embarked on a soul-stirring journey to Maha Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj. Whether you’re a devout Shiv Bhakt or a cultural enthusiast, this travel experience captures the spirit, scale, and sanctity of one of the largest spiritual gatherings in the world.
Traveling to Prayagraj via Vande Bharat 🚉
Our journey began in Delhi, aboard the Vande Bharat Express—a symbol of modern travel comfort in India. With its high speed, reclining seats, and delicious onboard food, the train made our spiritual pilgrimage seamless and enjoyable.
Experiencing the Holy Snan at Triveni Sangam ✨
Reaching Prayagraj late at night, we set out before dawn for the sacred snan (holy dip) at the Triveni Sangam, the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mystical Saraswati rivers. As the sun rose over the water, the energy of the Maha Kumbh came alive with chants, rituals, and pure devotion. It was a moment of deep spiritual connection.
Divine Boat Ride & Mahakumbh Mela Highlights 🛶
The boat ride to the Sangam was a magical experience—surrounded by pilgrims, flags, and prayers echoing across the Ganga. We then explored the sprawling Mahakumbh Mela, where we visited the spectacular Shiv Nagari.
The highlight: 12 Jyotirlinga replicas, crafted from over 7.5 crore Rudraksha beads—a sight that left every Shiv Bhakt in awe.
Local Exploration: Prayagraj on Two Wheels 🛵
Apart from the spiritual immersion, we enjoyed biking through Prayagraj’s bustling streets, soaking in the colors, chaos, and calm that define this holy city during Kumbh.
